KITTEN-SITTIN'

It seems that anything that I attempt with great Fanfare and Hoopla is thwarted. I made a big to-do over not being able to visit around Blogland for a few days because I had to clean my house. Well, I DID make some real progress. I didn't exactly knock it out like I would like to have done, though.

But I have a VERY good reason. We have had a baby visiting our home.

We are keeping this little pusscus for our neighbor, who is out of town. She is getting the Mama Cat fixed soon and the Vet said the babies had to be kept away from her - the nursing thing you know. So the neighbor asked if I would take the kittens, all but one, to the Humane Society.

Now I can hear your wails of protest from here. I KNOW! But I asked at the Humane Society if all of the kittens brought in were usually adopted. The lady informed me that they were taken to a place that provided the animals that are sold in Pet Stores. I hope that this is true and not like the "we took Rover to a farm in the country" story.

Now this sweet baby is like most babies - very demanding of attention. If he is alone (put up in the bathroom) he cries and yowls like he is dying. If I pick him up and hold him, he purrs and is as happy as, well, a kitten! His favorite spot is right up under my chin.

Even now, as I type this, Mr Kitty is sitting on me.... because he nearly screamed the house down (while everyone else is trying to sleep) until I came and got him.

I have a video that I shot last night of him playing. Excuse the hiny shot - yes he is INDEED a boy, and forgive me my giggles as well. I really tried to be quiet but he just gets away with me. Listen close, over my laughter, for the "rewr" near the end of the video. I just LOVE this little kitty!

And he goes home tomorrow.

What a precious kitten! I don't think I could give him back! He is adorable. I could not get the video to work, so I am bummed, but will come back later to try it!

See ya, Sharon

Big cat lovers we are. He is so cute and I love when he falls off the back of the couch.

He is just beautiful. I'd love to have an orange striper. I don't want to upset my "girls" so I don't think I'll bring another one into the mix.

I knew I liked you before... but it's sealed now that I know you're a cat lover! So, have you named him and will you be able to give him back to your neighbor???

Blessings! Dawn

Oh Jen...now you have me misty for my Amelia Grace. I am checking on her again today to see if I am still getting her back on schedule. Which should be Sunday! Yippy Skippy!!!

This little guy is adorable...and yes funny as all heck. Don't you wonder how they get all that energy? Amelia Grace would act like that and then pass out cold, just fall right over and go to sleep. How old is he? Amelia Grace was only 5-6 weeks, thats why she had to go back to her mommy. Dear Daughter didn't realize it until I told her she was having difficulties. The lady who has the kittens didn't know better either. She thought because AG was starting to eat and drink on her own that she didn't need her kitty mommy anymore. Geesh! Sending her back was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Broke my heart, I loved holding her like a little baby so much.
Have fun for the rest of the time with him.
Hugs,
Kimmie

What a cutie, but I know better. Those little orange striped boys are absolute hellions! My Hemi looked like that as a kitten, and he's rotten.

Our humane society doesn't put cats down unless they are ill or unadoptable. They just haven't needed to because PetSmart has an adoption center and they've always found homes.

Have a wonderful weekend!

That's precious! I was waiting for the flip over the back of the sofa.

I missed kitten-hood for my Mr Tucker. He was 4 when I adopted him.

awwww, how cute, of course your couch and drapes are going to fall apart there where he was sneakily removing threads but cute anyway.

That kitten is so adorable. My arms feel so empty with my children all grown up. I'm afraid my husband does not care for cats at all though.
