Brought to you courtesy, of the Red White and Blue!

I encourage you to remember this face Blogland.

Diva Daughter is the newest member of the Student Council at her middle school. This will be the fourth year that her fellow classmates have voted her into office. The difference this year is that it's a new school.

I think that you may see more of her in the political arena. Not necessarily in Blogland (although she is a blogger) - this year it is all about HOT TUB LIZZY of the Plaid Party (vote early and often). But I think my little Diva Daughter has the making of a great leader. Notice I DID NOT say a great politician. Maybe Lizzy would consider Diva Daughter for a cabinet position??

These are just a few of the reasons that I think she is qualified to serve...

Diva Daughter is PRO - Peace, as evidenced by this cutie poo t-shirt.

She loves the United States of America and can sing both Lee Greenwood's song and Toby Keith's song word for word. Except for the *A* word. She does not use foul language.

She is energetic and well,.... I don't know. I just really get a kick out of this picture.

She thinks that this outfit is tacky.

She can debate the tough issues and she already has mastered using her hands for emphasis.

She can handle heated situations with a smile.

She has allowed her brother to live for 7 years... subject to change with each turkey-like thing he does.

Just a couple more reasons she would be a great leader for Blogland as well as the USA...

~ She has talked to friends about the Lord and has prayed with them at school - BOLDNESS.

~ She can cook, do laundry, and keep her room clean - ORGANIZATION.

~ She saves her money - ECONOMY.

~ She wears PJs OFTEN - NATIONAL CASUAL FRIDAYS.

~ She gets straight A's - MOM IS BRAGGING.

Now in every election, there is some mud slinging. I believe if YOU are the one to share your weaknesses, it removes the power that they have over you. Once you bring it out in the open, no one can use that knowledge against you. You have owned it.

I am actually outing her, but I am her Mom. I am doing this for her own good and the good of her campaign.

Her weakness revealed, so that it can't be used against her by some smarmy politician is....

CHOCOLATE... namely, Hershey's chocolate bars.

Vote Diva Daughter for President in 2032!!

Congrats to her for her student election win! Fabulous. It's nice to have such amazing support (and photography) from home too!

BRENDA - Thank you! She is such a good kid. I couldn't resist a little Mom Brag time. And she really does have what it takes to be a leader, no joke.

DIANNA - Don't you know it! We spotted Cookies and Cream Hershey's kisses this evening. Mom is dieting and doesn't want that kind of yummy goodness around to tempt her... poor little Diva Daughter.

CRAYL - We shouted for her!! It was a big deal to us (hubby and I) since we uprooted her from her old school, to be getting to do Student Council again at her new one. It was a very happy moment for us!

It is 2 in the morning. I am going to bed and getting up in 4 hours IF I manage to fall right to sleep. Ugh. I feel a 7 A.M. nap coming my way...

You have every right to brag about your daughter. She's on her way to a bright and promising future! We need more kiddos like this in this country.

I love that pic of her with the hand gesture, but hey, they're all cute!

If I'm still alive in '32, she has my vote. :-)

I always thought we needed a diva in office.

Even Sarah Palin wouldn't admit she has a weakness for chocolate. (Or answer more than half of the questions asked of her...) So yeah, I'm all for your daughter. Congrats to her for getting elected! It's more than I could do when I was a kid!

Well, she IS kin to her Aunt Nae! LOL~~even if not by blood but by the blood of the lamb. I LOVE it! Sounds like she has made a place for herself and I am VERY proud. I will get all of the geriatric people to vote for her in 32.

And yes, I still say War Eagle~~~ Cant just be a fair weather fan. J and I were at the game. Will tell you about it later.

I may just vote for her RIGHT NOW. She'd do better than the other baffoons up for election now! She's adorable, and looks just like you. I think, at least.

She's got my vote! As a matter of fact, I'm willing to be her campaign director for the state of Texas. Heck, I'll even do it for free!

She's gorgeous!!!

Congratulations on your election, girl! All the more impressive in a NEW school.

She has my vote. Love ya, JC

That's great! I love how your son is raising up on his tiptoes in that picture...my brother always did/does that with me!

Jeanette said...

I'd vote for her! Her love of chocolate and her smile is all it would take to swing many votes her way.

Good to hear ya brag her up. What a good momma!

Hugs!

JACQUE - Thank you! She looks like me a little (the nose and mouth are MY family for sure) but she and my Hubby favor some too.

ANGIE - Thanks! I had really good blog material for this post.

SCARLET - sometimes I just can't help myself on the bragging. My kids have really beat the odds and turned out well.

SOUTHERN - Thanks for your vote! We will get you a sign for your yard.

TAMMY - Chocolate has the power to win elections!

TREE - If you only knew... that kid has such CHARACTER. She could really go places!

And surely we will both be around in 32... just a little older and wiser.

LEIGH - Thank you! Our faces are similar but our builds are VERY different. She is a petite little thing. Oldest Daughter is built like I was at her age.

TIZ - I would be happy to drive you but I have a feeling you will be able to WALK to the polls if you want to. :)

TAMMY - Aw, thanks!!

ALLGOOD MOM - I read the comments to her and told her who you were! She appreciated it!

BAYOU BELLE - I hope my little Diva is the first!!

NOELLE - What is funny about Diva Daughter is that she is just this sweet kid. She has some diva tendancies in the way she expresses herself, but she is not prissy or hard to be around. I think that you would really like her and would feel confident voting for her. So speaks her mother...

NAE - Of course! You are a TRUE fan... true fans don't stop saying War Eagle just because of a loss. Bama fans don't quit saying Roll Tide after numerous losses to Auburn, right?

Glad you got to spend some time with your family!!!

MARKY - I REALLY want to tour the Hershey's factory one day... that would be a cool trip! If we EVER get to do that, I will have to holler at you!

JENNY - I know. It just doesn't feel all that great this election year, does it? The economy is scary as all heck and our choices aren't all that confidence inspiring either. Interesting times to say the least.

DAWN - WONDERFUL! You survived your busy weekend! You are hired for the Texas Campaign.

Have a nice day tomorrow!

LISSA - You'll be here! And H will be old enough to vote then too! That has GOT to make you a little sad... just as sad as picturing my Little Diva Daughter 35.

MELEAH - Girl, I will worry about her until I pass from this world. I just can't help but to worry about my kiddos. Love makes us vulnerable.

JC - Thanks! Love you too!

RONNICA - He is such an aggravating toot when it comes to his sisters. He LOVES to make them mad. Never seen anything like that in my life!

JEANETTE - I just can't help bragging on them. I was SO happy for her. She needed for this to happen... sort of an affirmation!

Valarie said...

Yea!!!!! Diva Daughter!!!!! She sounds so much like Syd its not even funny. The rock on picture is my favorite also!

Valarie said...

Guess What? I get to see you tomorrow!!!

K-Mom said...

Cute post. I can totally get behind a chocolate platform.

Congratulations to your daughter. She's destined for great things!

Jeff B said...

Finally, a candidate that we the people can believe in. Where's the ballot I'm writing her in.

jennifer said...

VALARIE - then Syd is AWESOME ( I knew that already ).

Girl, I can't wait! We are going to have a ball!

K-MOM - a chocolate campaign would definitely go to my behind!

JEFF - There you go! Smart decision!

Birdie said...

well don't she just rock the party that rocks the party!!

Alisun said...

Good Mommy!! She will go far with much support.
Hey she is so far ahead of where I was at that age. Thank God for a mom who taught her well
Chocolate yes you have my vote.

Vicki said...

She sounds wonderful! Just because of the fact that she'll pray at school with others convinces me that I'll be voting for her!

Travis said...

Let's see...in 2032 I'll be 68 and presumably still in full possession of my faculties. So I shall keep my eyes open for Diva Daughter on my 2032 ballot and consider her candidacy very carefully.

Congrats to the young lady for making such an impression on her new classmates. That's a sign of true leadership.
