'Cause you know it's all about me...

I've blogged about my kids lately and I've blogged about what our family has been up to. So how about some random facts about me? Seriously, it's about time I bored you silly (-er).

1. I was scared of the dark when I was little. My eye sight was TERRIBLE and without my glasses, everything looked like 'the monster in the closet'. Even though my vision has been corrected via laser surgery, I prefer to have a bit of light in the room when I sleep.

I have, however, out-grown my woobie.... unless you count Bryan.

2. The only time I had to give a speech (about journalism), I tripped in front of the entire senior class. But I was wearing a lovely red dress and heels so I tripped in style.

3. I own a Snuggie....

...and I'm not proud of it. OK, maybe I am.

*Early morning breakfast run to McDonald's in my Snuggie.

4. When I talk, I use the word "anyway"..... A LOT. It is a segue word for me and I have been unable to break the habit.

Anyway...

5. We have been going to the beach a lot lately. I spend my beach time like this...

*Those three buoys in the water are my kids' noggins.

It is very difficult to really relax or read with The Boy, who is fearless about water, romping in the ocean. My eyes are constantly on the kids. I plan to spend a Momma Day on the beach when schools starts. Just me, a book, a cooler full of diet soda.... and the waves. Ahhh!

6. My dreams fascinate me. I had one about my Aunt Jackie yesterday. I sought the advice of someone who is knowledgeable about dream interpretation from a Biblical stand point. I think what she told me about its meaning is going to help me through something I'm sort of dreading. Plus, in the dream I got to hug my Aunt Jackie (who died from cancer) and that was so very nice. I really miss her.

*Today is Jackie's birthday. She would have been 61.

7. I am currently on diet number 874 and I am one bag of gummy food away from 875.

8. I recently uttered the phrase "Why on earth would I want to look at a dog's butt hole?" in protest to a video on America's Funniest Home Videos.

My husband recently uttered the phrase "You might be a redneck if you have ever said why on earth would I want to look at a dog's butt hole." Everyone is a comedian.

9. I'm still VERY behind on my blog reading. I am trying to finish the 5th and 6th Harry Potter books... before Tuesday at midnight. Yeah, I like to set reasonable goals for myself.

Y'all have a great weekend!

There is not a room in my house that is pitch black at night, T.V makes a glowing night light. But recently, we had a power outage and Hubby scares me in the dark. He is too much of a sneek. It was fun though........have a good weekend!

I'm real sorry about Jackie, so sad, so young.

Anyway, you might be a redneck if you watched a video about a dog's butt.

I love when you tell things about yourself. I wouldn't want to look at a dog's butt either.

You Aunt Jackie was a beautiful person. She was blessed to have you for a neice. Just like I am.

I have several pictures from last week that resemble #5... I too have a boy whose fear level DOES not match his skill level! :)
I have a personal list (that I started when my son was born) of "things I never thought I'd say." The dog-butt comment would have to go on the list!

We have a Snuggie and those things are huge. They need to make smaller ones. Funny post girl. You are way to buzy. I would guess that I must be somewhere near your figure in diet #'s also. I do hate that word! You have a great weekend too!

Ahh Jen you are so funny!

I love those dreams of loved ones gone on. After a friend drowned while swimming in a lake, I dreamt that I saw him again, and it was because we were both in heaven, even though we were on earth. I found it the most comforting and beautiful dream and thanked the Lord for sending it to me.

I LOVE that pic f you in your Snuggie (I SOOOOO want one BTW)! You look like a Snuggling Diva! LOVE IT!
I am scared of the dark. There I said it. I am. I still sleep with a night light.
I also beleive that loved ones can communicate with us through our dreams. I once had a dream with someone who had passed on that wanted me to tell his family memeber something. IN the dream I agrued with him saying that they would never beleive me and he told me about something he had in his closet that only his family would know to proove it to them. When I woke up I was so compelled to remember the prrof that I forgot what is was he wanted me to tell them. Ok. I am weird.

Nobody outgrows a woobie. People say they do, but they don't.

I love it!
I once fell INTO a garbage can when getting up to do a presentation in front of the class (back in grade 5). In my defense, it was a huge outdoor garbage can that clearly didn't belong beside the teacher's desk, and I had a knee injury!
"Anyway", I loved all the random facts in this blog!

Jen, you know, I feel like I knew Jackie personally because I know you loved her so much. When you write about Jen you have to include Jackie. She was a blessed lady to have you.

Love you,
Tiz

I think Bryan counts as a woobie.
What a fantastic picture of you and your aunt. Dreams are certainly prophetic. I can tell you miss her a lot.

McDonald's coffee is the best in the mornings, isn't it?
You know there WERE monsters in the closet.....

Looks like you are having an awesome summer! Snuggie and all.

Somehow I have missed the AFV video with the dogs butt. Somehow.

I'm still afraid of the dark, and I use anyway entirely too often as well. I love posts like this. I'm so nosy that these posts allow me to be nosy and socially acceptable at the same time ;-)

Shhh! I have a Snuggie too! Well, a knock-off Snuggie, which is even more embarrassing.
