Are you ready for some football?

Not long ago, I watched Keetha's Colts

play Dianne's Jets

(Hope is a Jets fan too) to see who would go to the Super Bowl.

I thought of my blogbuds during the game (being a fan with so much at stake can be stressful). Our household was divided - Bryan pulled for the Jets (he just couldn't pull for former Tennessee Quarterback Peyton Manning) so I pulled for the Colts.

The Colts got the win and I was elated for Keetha and disappointed for Dianne. That's the way it is when you care about your friends more than the game (now if it were Alabama vs Auburn? Well... I'm sure you know how I would feel about my friends then).

We watched the Minnesota Vikings play our New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. Have I ever told you that before football season, Bryan and I decided to support the Saints? Well we did and look how well it turned out.

The Saints won the NFC Championship and they are going playing in the Super Bowl this weekend! As much as I HATE to be at odds with my friends... and even though I am a relatively new Saints fan... and even though Keetha gave her blue mylar wig a makeover (she's a hard core fan I tell ya)... and even though blue is my favorite color (it matters).... and even though she pulled for my Tide during the college football season...

Who Dat!

*This is the first year I am going to watch the Super Bowl for the football. I'll still enjoy the commercials and the half time show but yeah! I'm ready for some football!

WHO DAT!No doubt we want the SAINTS to win I have been a SAINTS fan all my life but this is another bittersweet game for me, my dad played football with (well against him lol) Archie and Peyton and I knew each other in highshool and our parents are still friends. HOWEVER, there is no doubt GEAUX SAINTS!!!

I always watch it with my Dad. It's a lot more fun when your home team is playing, but it's still the Super Bowl and I know I will enjoy it with my Dad, along with some popcorn and possibly a beer or two or glass of wine!

Keetha cracks me up. I am not a football fan but I did watch the two final games and I am ready for Sunday. I always love the commercials, that is when I am quite! Have fun watching.

Cheering for the Colts here, but honestly would rather see the commercials this year. Then again, maybe not. I've been hearing all this drama about supposedly controversial ads this year. I think they're trying to hype that kind of stuff up b/c the two teams seem to be scandal free???

Thanks so much for the visit. :)

since I lived in Baltimore in the days of Johnny U, and was still there when the colts slipped out of town in the middle of the night, old grudges run deep, go saints.

I'll be rooting for the Colts, but I really am pleased for long-suffering Saints fans.

I know Keetha threatened me. I have Toms family in Indiana who are also Colts. I was happy to see them in it, but Saints. Yes, Saints, Gosh, Dont let Keetha see that. I really didnt care either way though.

I just don't get it.

I'm not a football fan.

I've never been married to a football fan.

But it sure looks like fun. :)
